Tour Description

Basic Holy Land Christian Catholic tour – An introductory tour for first-time Christian pilgrims and visitors on Jesus Christ’s footsteps based on the New Testament, as its name indicates.
It is a program that fits all ages.


Day 1Airport - Jerusalem or Bethlehem.

After passport control and luggage pick-up, meet your licensed local tour guide. Once your luggage has been loaded on your bus, you will have a transfer to check in at your hotel. First overnight in (Jerusalem or Bethlehem).

Day 2Ein Karem / Beit Sahour / Bethlehem.

Breakfast at the hotel. Start your tour by a short drive to Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist. Visit the two churches of the Visitation and St. John the Baptise. Procced to Beit Sahour, passing by Herodian. Stop at the Shepherds’ Field, where, an angel appeared to the shepherds and sang “Glory to God in the highest”. The same as the Shepherds, we will drive to Bethlehem, the city of David. Visit the Basilica of the Nativity, the Grotto of the Nativity where Jesus was born, the Manger, St. Catherine church, the Grottos of St. Jerome and other Saints.
Walk to the nearby church of the Milk Grotto.
Return to hotel for a second night. in (Jerusalem or Bethlehem).

Day 3Jerusalem / Mount of Olives / Gethsemane / Mount Zion.

Breakfast, Drive to Jerusalem.
From the Mount of Olives enjoy a breath-taking panoramic view of the old city with an introduction to its rich history. View the Walls, Mount Moriah, the Mosques of Al Aksa and the Dome of the Rock and the Western Wailing Wall. Visit the nearby sanctuaries of the Ascension and Pater Noster (the Lord’s Prayer) then we walk down along the Palm Sunday path to the chapel of Dominus Flevit (the Lord wept) and to the Garden of Gethsemane.
Drive across the Kidron Valley to Mount Zion: visit Saint Peter in Gallicantu (the Cock Crow), enter the old city by Zion’s Gate to visit the Cenacle (the Upper Room) and the Dormition Abbey.
Back to hotel for a third night. in (Jerusalem or Bethlehem).

Day 4Old City of Jerusalem / Abu Gosh “Emmaus”.

Breakfast at the hotel. Early morning, we enter the old city of Jerusalem by St. Stephen’s Gate
(Lions Gate). Walk along the Via Dolorosa (the Way of the Cross) to the Basilica of the Holy
Sepulcher. (Possibility to celebrate a Holy Mass). Walk through the Jewish quarter to see the Cardo and continue to the Wailing Wall. From there, we access to Mount Moriah to see the two gigantic Mosques.
Visit Ecce Homo (Lithostrotos), Saint Anne’s Crusader Church and the Pool of Bethesda.
Take the bus and drive to Abu Gosh to visit Emmaus.
Back to hotel for a fourth and last night in (Jerusalem or Bethlehem).

Day 5Bethany / Judean Desert / Jericho / Jordan River / Dead Sea / Galilee region.

After breakfast, check-out, load suitcases and drive to Bethany to visit Lazarus Tomb. Continue
to the Judean Desert to stop and visit the site of the Good Samaritan’s Inn. Stop at the point above Wadi Quilt for a view of the St. George Monastery hanging on the cliffs, proceed to Jericho for a city tour to see the Sycamore Tree of Zacchaeus, Elisha’s Fountain and view of the Mount of Temptation.
Continue to the Jordan River to visit the Baptismal Site. A small drive to the Dead Sea area to enjoy a dip in the salty water. Drive north through the Jordan Valley, passing by Beit Shean to the Galilee.
Check-in at your hotel for first night in (Nazareth Or Tiberias).

Day 6Nazareth / Mount Tabor / Cana.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Nazareth, Visit Mary’s Well at the Orthodox church of the
Archangel Gabriel, then to the Basilica of the Annunciation, the Church and Carpentry shop of
St. Joseph, and the “Synagogue” where the people were angered and thrust Him out of the city from the Mount of Precipice.
Continue to Mount Tabor passing by the Mount of Precipice. Take the shuttle to the summit, visit
the Basilica of the Transfiguration. After descending the Mountain, drive to Cana of Galilee to
visit the Wedding Church where Jesus performed His first miracle, the conversion of water to wine.
Back to the hotel for a second night in (Nazareth Or Tiberias).

Day 7Tiberias / Sea of Galilee.

Tiberias / Sea of Galilee.
Breakfast at the hotel and head to Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee. Stop at the ancient city of Chorazim (Korazim). Visit the Mount of Beatitudes, scene of the Sermon on the Mount.
Embark for a sail across the Sea of Galilee, the same way as Jesus and his disciples often did.
Visit Capernaum, Jesus Home Town and centre of His ministry. Visit the remains of Peter’s house, the Synagogue where Jesus taught the multitude about the Bread of Life as well as the church of St. Peter’s Memorial; Tabgha, the site of the feeding of the loaves and fish and the church of the Primacy of St. Peter.
Back to hotel for a third night in (Nazareth or Tiberias).

Day 8Haifa / Mount Carmel / Mediterranean Coast / Airport / Back home.

After breakfast, check-out, board suitcases and drive west to Haifa. From Mount Carmel view the city and its harbor and the Bahai Gardens. Visit Stella Maris and Muhraka (the Sacrifice). Continue south along the Mediterranean coast to the Roman city of Caesarea. Evangelized by Philip, visited by St. Peter and St. Paul.
Transfer to Ben Gurion airport for your return flight.
