day 3

Meteora and the Heights of Kalambaka.

The day starts in Meteora; discover one of Europe’s most beautiful landscapes with its six monasteries and towering rock formations. A short nature walk in Agios Athanasios for a panoramic view of the ‘stone mushroom’ of Agia Triada. Visit the western monasteries, reflecting on Apostle Paul as the first Christian hermit. An evening tour of the illuminated cliffs of Meteora on the way to Kalambaka for an overnight stay.

Day 4

Day 7

Larissa to the Peaks of Mt. Metamorphosis.

Begin in Larissa, exploring the city’s ancient Roman Theatre and the remnants of the Byzantine Acropolis. Next, visit the Transfiguration of Christ Monastery (Metamorphosis) in Meteora. Continue to Athens for an overnight stay.

Day 8

Paul in Ancient Corinth.

Day 10

Ancient Ephesus and Patmos.

As the ship docks at the Port of Kusadasi early in the morning, the crossroads of Greece and Turkey, the Early Christian histories in Ephesus. Near the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and once home to Apostles Paul and John and the Virgin Mary, Ephesus in Western Turkey is a beacon of pilgrimage and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander the streets lined with spectacular ruins, from the Ephesus Agora to the Odeon, the opulent Houses of the Patricians, the Temple of Hadrian, and the Library of Celsus, after an opportunity to shop for local crafts, including carpets and leather goods, back to the ship to sail for Patmos island. Visit the Monastery of St. John and the Grotto of Revelation. Return to the boat for an overnight, ready to sail towards Crete, Greece.

Wonders of Crete and the Beauty of Santorini.

In the ancient site of Knossos, the legendary ruins of King Minos’ Palace unfold the mysteries of the Minoan civilization. Back on board, for a sail towards Santorini island. Upon arrival, explore the iconic villages of Oia and Thira through an optional tour, where cable car, donkey, or scenic walk can experience the breathtaking journey up the caldera. Night cruise back to Athens, Greece.

Day 12

Farewell Athens.

In the early morning hours, disembark from the cruise ship. Transfer to Athens Airport for the return flight back home.
